The Vice Chancellor of Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU), Professor Fatimah Tahir, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the country’s 65th Independence Anniversary, applauding the collective efforts of citizens in sustaining peace and unity.
In a special goodwill message issued by the University’s Public Relations Officer, Auwal Hassan, Professor Tahir emphasized that unity and togetherness among citizens remain the bedrock of sustainable national development.
She also acknowledged the sacrifices and contributions of past leaders who stood firm in safeguarding the peace, unity, and progress of the country, calling on Nigerians to emulate their patriotism, selflessness, and service to humanity.
The Vice Chancellor extended her felicitations to the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed (CON), commending his unwavering commitment to maintaining peace and fostering educational development in the state.
She highlighted that the government’s support to the university through funding and infrastructure has continued to strengthen SAZU’s pursuit of academic excellence.
Professor Tahir reaffirmed SAZU’s commitment to advancing quality education, research, and innovation for the overall development of Bauchi State and Nigeria.
